Our confirmed training address is in Qingpu, at Building 1, Lane 89 Yehui Road, Zhonghai Emerald Lake Phase II. Families from other parts of Shanghai can enquire, but we do not advertise additional branches in Pudong, Puxi, Minhang or Hongqiao.

The ratio depends on the group and must be confirmed with the coach. Ask how swimmers are grouped by age, ability and confidence, and how much individual feedback your child will receive.

Xu Danlu is a Chinese swimmer with a public World Aquatics athlete record. That record lists gold in the women’s 400m and 800m freestyle at the 2012 Asian Swimming Championships and silver in the women’s 800m freestyle at the 2014 Asian Games. Her club posts now document youth coaching.

The club’s published material includes stroke demonstrations, underwater footage and training sessions. Share which strokes your child swims and what they want to improve; the coach can advise on an appropriate training group.

Competition is one documented part of the club, but your child’s goals should guide the conversation. Ask whether a suitable non-competitive or development group is available rather than assuming every swimmer must race.

The club has shared youth race experiences, including an SSSA event at YK Pao. Parents can discuss school-team goals with the coach. A race appearance does not imply an official partnership with that school or guarantee selection.

The club documented a winter training camp in January and February 2024, combining training with water-polo games. Ask about the next camp’s dates, entry level, supervision and fees; past camps are not a current booking offer.

Ask the coach for the venue’s kit list. A swimsuit, cap, goggles, towel and a change of clothes are useful items to discuss. Confirm any pool-entry requirements, equipment rules and parent access before the visit.

Parent viewing, changing-room access and collection arrangements depend on the current venue. Confirm them with the club before attending, together with who supervises children before and after the session.

Agree a small set of goals with the coach: confidence, a more consistent stroke, or preparation for a race. Ask how feedback is shared and when those goals will be reviewed. Individual race results are examples, not promises for other children.
